Montevideo Public Schools

The Leader of Southwest Minnesota in Classroom Technology

Montevideo Public School District 129 is proud to be a leader in providing cutting edge educational technology to rural Minnesota students.  All of our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, digital projectors, and digital audio enhancement technology.  In addition, each Kindergarten through 3rd grade classroom is equipped with 16 cutting edge touchscreen, internet connected mobile devices.  In grades 4 and 5, three complete classroom sets of Chromebooks on mobile carts are allocated (a nearly 1:1 ratio), and all 6-12 students are assigned their own individual Chromebook with take-home rights throughout the year.  These mobile devices are able to access the internet in every classroom across our district using the latest wireless technology.
Montevideo schools provides our students and staff the very best wireless connectivity in southwest Minnesota with an access point installed in every.... single... classroom.  Most importantly, our teachers are continuously provided ongoing learning opportunities and training to further enhance their use of technology with our students, as we employ a full time technology integration specialist.
